History of Thai massage
<\/h1>
Thai massage has a tradition of over 2500 years and is based on Indian Ayurvedic medicine, traditional Chinese medicine and Buddhist philosophy. The origins of healing methods and medicine itself date back to the aforementioned period, when science did not yet exist in today's exact, rational and evidence-based principles. Modern massages focus on certain muscle groups with specific techniques, while Thai massage is the most complex in terms of the use of techniques, anatomical location and overall holistic approach. However, this does not mean that modern massages are worse. It is the appropriate combination and the correct indication that determine the final benefit for the client\/patient's health. It is extremely admirable that despite the lack of scientific knowledge, they were able to develop effective treatment procedures thousands of years ago through empiricism (observation, testing, analysis, experience), which they described in alternative terminology based on the philosophy of the time. Even though these principles are not described in today's scientific terminology and precise laws, they still have their complementary position in modern holistic medicine due to their significant effectiveness and benefit in healing.

The true scientific nature of medicine developed gradually as new discoveries, inventions, and an exact approach to processing new information came along. The origins of the scientific nature of medicine begin with the period of Greek antiquity associated with the name of Hippocrates.<\/div>
A holistic approach to the patient has always been present in the treatment procedures of both oriental and \u201cEuropean\u201d scientific Hippocratic medicine (the Greek word holistic \u2013 holistic). Unfortunately, today\u2019s \u201cWestern\u201d official medicine has in practice quietly abandoned the holistic nature of the approach to the patient and is increasingly focused on symptoms rather than the cause of diseases, despite the fact that the WHO definition of health itself emphasizes the holistic nature.
